A whitewashed brick shell, tan leather, a grey stone bench — everything in this room is warm, so the floor had to be the cool note underneath it. We ground the slab back gently and polished to a charcoal-leaning grey, keeping the cloudy variation in the pour rather than sanding it out. Late sun crosses it in soft bands, and the whole floor reads as one continuous surface from living through to the kitchen.
